1. Simon Miller Capt. was born in 1642 in Bristol, England. He died in 1683 in Old Rappahannock County, VA.

Captain Simon Miller fought in the Colonial Wars. He was Captain in Bacon's Rebellion in 1676 and patented 817 acres of land in Old Rappahannock County, VA in 1673. He married Mrs. Margaret Prosser, a widow about 1665 and had six children by Margaret.

Captain Simon Miller was probably born in England in 1642 and died in Old Rappahannock County in 1684. He speaks of England as his home in his will. He was a ship builder of note in the early days of the colonies and is mentioned in Bruce's Economic History of Virginia, Vol. 1 page 439.

His will dated 1679 was probated May 2, 1684 in Old Rappahannock County, Rappahannock County Records Deed Book 6, page 10-11. At the time his will was drawn up, all his children were under fourteen years of age. He speaks of his wife Margaret Prosser Miller in his will, she was a widow, when he married her with children by Mr. Prosser.

Simon married (1) Margaret Prosser in 1665.
